It only took a couple of days. Shortly after departing Brazil’s Uberlandia, Robby Collum (185 cm, Western Michigan’03) has been snatched up by Uruguayan club Defensor Sporting Club Montevideo (LUB). Before his three-season stint in Brazil, Collum spent the early part of his career playing in Mexico. This is actually not the international veteran’s first time to play in Uruguay. He was a member of the starting five for Defensor way back in 2009-10. With a lot more experience under his belt, this second run with the team should be a lot more productive.
In 27 games for Uberlandia in the 2012-13 season, Collum notched averages of 12.9 ppg and 5.6 apg, taking his team all the way to the Brazilian National League finals in 2013.
