Josh Boone lands at Defensor

Josh Boone (208 cm, PF) is on the move to Uruguay to play for Defensor Sporting Montevideo.

The New Jersey Nets selected Boone with the 23rd pick in the 2006 NBA Draft. He spent four seasons with the team before continuing his career in Hong Kong and elsewhere.

In recent years, the 36-year-old University of Connecticut product has plied his craft in Australia and Russia, as well as other countries. Boone was a productive player for Melbourne United and re-signed with the club in 2017.

Before moving to Uruguay, Josh Boone played for Al-Riffa in Bahrain, helping the club reach the playoff semifinals in September.
