The Gigantes de Guayana (Venezuela-LPB) has landed the services of American player Omar Reed (200 cm, Bluefield’10) this 2016. Reed spent the 2015-16 pre-season with Atenas Cordoba (Argentina-Liga A), but left the team. The veteran spent most of his 2014-15 season playing for the Hiroshima Dragonflies (Japan-NBL). In 28 games Omar was able to deliver averages of 10.6 ppg and 5.6 rpg. In March 2015 Reed headed back to the United States and signed on with the Maine Red Claws of the NBA D-League. He played just a couple of games for them, averaging 2.0 ppg and 3.5 rpg. Omar left shortly after his brief run.
