Banks leaves Panathinaikos

Marcus Banks (188 cm, UNLV’03) has left Panathinaikos Athens from Greece’s A1. The former NBA guard agreed to terms with the team back in November 2012. This 2012-13 season Banks played 14 games in the Greece’s A1 league and averaged 6.4 ppg and 1.7 rpg. He also played 21 games for Panathinaikos in the Euroleague to help reach the tournament’s Quarterfinals this year. He averaged 5.7 ppg and 1.3 rpg. He also shot well from downtown at 43.2%, converting 19-44 shots.

The 32-year-old played the 2011-12 season with the Idaho Stampede from the NBA’s D-League. He logged 19 games and averaged 17.9 ppg and 5.0 rpg.
