Panathinaikos Athens (Greece-A1) has landed veteran Latvian guard Kristaps Valters (190 cm) for the 2014-15 season. He was originally slated to play for BK Barons Kvartals Riga (Latvia-LBL), but has opted to play in Greece instead. In 2013-14 the 33-year-old Valters played in Turkey for Aykon TED Kolejliler Ankara (TBL). They got pretty far in the Eurocup that season and Kristaps was able to appear in 19 games during their run. He averaged 9.8 ppg and 5.5 apg. In the domestic Turkish TBL he appeared in 30 games and produced averages of 12.0 ppg and 4.3 apg.
