Nigerian big man Jeleel Akindele (216 cm, Chicago State’05), also known as “Deji,” is headed to Lebanon to play in its Division A for Champville. He is coming off a 25-game run with Italian team Co.Fi.Ba JuveCaserta (Serie A). During that stint he averaged 12.6 ppg and 8.0 rpg. Aside from his size, Akindele brings to Champville a wealth of experience playing in various teams around the world.
In 2012 he played for Jiangsu Tongxi from China’s NBL. There he averaged 15.5 ppg and 14.7 rpg in six games and was part of the team as it reached the Chinese NBL Semifinals last year.
