Jason Thompson back to China

Jason Thompson (211 cm, C) has signed with Guangdong Tigers in the Chinese CBA. The Tigers are 44-5 and are atop of the standings.

Thompson started this season in the ACB in Spain. He played 17 games for Zaragoza, where he averaged 8.2 ppg and 4.5 rpg in just over 18 minutes per contest.

Last season Jason Thompson also played in the ACB after starting the season in China. He only played two games for Zaragoza before Covid hit. He did play 24 games for BeiKong, in which he averaged a double-double.

Thompson played college basketball at Rider, where he notched 20.4 ppg and 12.4 rebounds his senior year. He was drafted 12th overall by Sacramento and proceeded to play nine years in the NBA.
