Croatian teen basketball sensation, Dario Saric, has been loaned to local Croatian squad, KK Split (Croatia-A1) for the 2012-13 season. Saric (2.05m) signed a five-year deal with Bilbao Basket (Spain-ACB) over the summer. The move will give Saric an opportunity to finish school, as well as gain valuable professional experience before joining Bilbao in Spain’s ACB competition.
Saric lead Croatia to the 2012 U18 European Championship for Men, where he was named MVP of the tournament behind a remarkable 25.6 points per game and 10.1 rebounds per game and also averaged 9.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game during the EuroBasket 2013 Qualification Round recently completed. His 6.3 rebounds per game led the Croatian squad for the competition.
