Anadolu Efes snaps Fenerbahce’s 10-game EuroLeague winning streak in an emphatic way

Anadolu Efes made a stellar performance and decimated Fenerbahce in the Turkish Derby to snap the 10-game EuroLeague winning streak of their rivals.

Efes led from start to finish against Fenerbahce and cruised to a dominant road win (74-106).

With Vasilije Micic scoring a career-high 37 points and six three-pointers (6/6), Efes led by 14 at halftime (39-53) and 23 later in the game (58-81) to seal the deal.

For their part, Fenerbahce never recovered and saw their 10-game EuroLeague winning streak come to end, dropping to 15-11.

On the other hand, Efes improved to 15-10 in the EuroLeague, after winning its fourth straight.

Baskonia maintained a playoff push in the EuroLeague, thanks to its 87-67 home win over Crvena Zvezda.

A 27-11 run in the second quarter was enough for the Basques to take a 21-point lead (48-27) and never look back.

Baskonia now is at 13-13, whereas Zvezda dropped to 7-19, losing its sixth in a row.

ALBA Berlin came back from a double-digit deficit multiple times in the game and rallied past Panathinaikos at home (74-65).

The “Greens” led for the majority of the first three quarters, but the Germans outscored them 24-12 in the fourth quarter to earn the victory.

ALBA improved to 9-17 in the EuroLeague standings. On the other hand, Panathinaikos now has a 9-15 record.

Both teams are still far from the playoff zone, though, with eight EuroLeague games remaining.

In a late thriller at Palau Blaugrana, ASVEL Villeurbanne stood tall and defeated Barcelona (69-76).

It was a hard-fought battle until the fourth quarter, with the French leading by eight (64-72).

ASVEL endured the comeback of the Catalans and extended its winning streak to six games, its longest in the competition.

Villeurbanne swept the season series against FC Barcelona and now is at 12-14.

On the contrary, Barcelona remained on top of the standings, with an 18-8 record.
