PAOK Thessaloniki (Greece-A1) has recently strengthened its roster for the 2016-17 season with the addition of Zanis Peiners (203 cm). He is a 25-year-old Latvian player who has been a member of the Latvian national team since 2013. In 2015-16 Zanis played at his home Latvia for BK Ventspils (Latvia-LBL). He played 13 games for his former team at the inaugural season of the FIBA Europe Cup and averaged 7.6 ppg and 2.4 rpg. Peiners also appeared in a total of 43 games in the Latvian league and was able to produce averages of 8.1 ppg and 2.8 rpg.
