Yancy Gates (206 cm, Cincinnati’12) has agreed to terms on a deal to play for Ironi Nahariya (Israel-Winner League) for the 2016-17 season. He was originally slated to start the 2015-16 season with Hapoel Jerusalem (Israel-Winner League), but in November 2015 opted to fly to Asia and join the roster of Shanxi Zhongyu (China-CBA). He played 20 games for the Chinese club and recorded averages of 15.3 ppg and 8.1 rpg. Gates was released by the team in December and not too long after landed a gig to play for Telekom Bakets Bonn (Germany-BBL). He played six games for the German outfit and there he posted averages of 14.5 ppg and 6.2 rpg. Yancy parted ways with the pink shirts in March 2016.
