Willie Warren released by Rishon

American point guard Willie Warren (193 cm, Oklahoma’10) has had his contract with Maccabi Rishon LeZion (Israel, Premier League) waived. The club decided to release the 23-year old for breaking team rules. Warren has played 23 times with Rishon LeZion since joining the team at the start of the season and over those games he has picked up 16.1ppg, 1.8rpg and 4.2apg. The club did not go into detail as to why the player has been released but nevertheless Warren is now seeking a new team.

Willie Warren has had NBA experience as a player with the Los Angeles Clippers where he played 19 games during the 2010-2011 season.
