Willie Warren heads to Hungary

Willie WarrenWillie Warren (193 cm, Oklahoma’10) will play in Hungary this season after agreeing terms with Szolnoki Olajbanyasz (A Division). The point guard played for Maccabi Rishon (Israel, Winner League) until April 2013 and over 23 games for the club he picked up averages of 16.1 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. The American has never played in Hungary before and has spent much of his short career in American Basketball. During the 2011/2012 season he featured for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (D-League) where he posted statistics of 13.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists over 11 games.

Willie Warren has also picked up NBA experience after playing for the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2010/2011 season, his first as a professional. He played 19 games for the Clippers but offered minimal averages thanks to limited minutes on the court.
