Wesley Channels moves to Okapi Aalstar

Wesley Channels (190 cm, Austin Peay State’10) is on the move and will be a new face on the roster of Crelan Okapi Aalstar (Belgium-Euromillions League) in 2017-18. Channels joins forces with Okapi Aalstar after spending the 2016-17 season playing for the Kangoeroes Basket Willebroek (Belgium-Euromillions League). The veteran appeared in a total of 38 games for them and was able to deliver averages of 13.9 ppg and 4.8 apg.

Channels spent his 2015-16 season on the roster of Egis Kormend (Hungary-A Division). He played six games for them in the FIBA Europe Cup and registered averages of 13.2 ppg and 3.7 apg. Wesley also logged a total of 45 games in the domestic Hungarian league and there he managed to post averages of 15.4 ppg and 4.0 apg. In 2016 he helped his team win the Hungarian Cup and reach the Hungarian league semifinals.
