Vrbica Stefanov to guide MZT Skopje

Vrbica StefanovKK MZT Skopje Aerodrom (FYR Macedonia-Prva Liga) has named Vrbica Stefanov as successor to Zmagoslav “Zmago” Sagadin the club has announced. Zmago was let go by the club on October 16th after an indifferent start to the Adriatic League saw the team sitting on a losing 1-2 record. It was already Sagadin’s first season with the club, but the front office let him go in favor of the up and coming Vrbica Stefanov.

Stefanov retired as a professional player in 2008/2009 season and will now helm the club as head coach during this campaign. The 41-year old started his playing career with MZT Skopje before moving around Europe and playing for such clubs as Montepaschi Siena (Italy, Serie A), Vive Menorca (Spain, ACB), and Ulker Istanbul (Turkey, TBL).
