Vladimir Mijovic signs with Duhok

Vladimir Mijovic (207 cm) is on his way to Iraq. He is set to play for the Duhok basketball team from Iraq’s Division 1. The Serbian Mijovic will have an easier adjustment period compared to other league imports as Duhok is coached by fellow Serbian Vladimir Bosnjak.

Mijovic started the 2012-13 season playing for Vujic Metalac Valjevo from Serbia’s A League. In 19 games he averaged 9.1 ppg and 4.2 rpg.

Duhok is currently fourth in the Iraqi Division 1 Standings with a record of 4-2. Mijovic brings plenty of experience playing international basketball. He has helped previous teams in Romania and Bulgaria reach the post season in 2011 and 2012.
