Vladimir Dasic inks deal with Besikas JK
Vladimir Dasic (2.08m) has signed a deal with Besikas JK Istanbul (Turkey) for the 2012-13 season. Dasic has most recently been playing in Slovenia with Olimpija Ljubljana. He also has been part of two squads in the Euroleague, Virtus Roma of Italy and Real Madrid of Spain. While with Olimpija (he joined them mid-way through the season), he averaged 9.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game over 13 games in the Adriatic League. Prior to changing uniforms, played eight games in the Italian league with Roma, averaging 11 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest. Dasic, 24, has enjoyed an eight-year professional career that also has included a gold medal at the 2005 U18 European Championships with the Serbia and Montenegro National squad. He’s currently an integral member of the Montenegro contingent that is 7-0 in the EuroBasket 2013 Qualifiers, carrying averages of 12.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists over 23.4 minutes per game.
