Vincent Sanford pens with Sharks Antibes
Vincent Sanford (193 cm, Dayton ’14) is the newest member of the Sharks Antibes (France-Pro A). This will be his debut in the French league in just his fourth professional season. Last season, Sanford gained experience with s. Oliver Wuerzburg (Germany-BBL). The guard played very well for the German squad but just for a small portion of the team’s season. In just 13 games with the club, Sanford scored 11.2 ppg with 3.5 rpg in a bench role where he found 20.4 mpg. Not only did he score for the team but also dished 3.0 apg. He didn’t disappear on the defensive end either with 1.5 spg to add to his tally. It was an impressive run in Wuerzburg which went into the decision for Antibes to bring him onboard.
Sharks Antibes will welcome Sanford with hopes of helping the team improve from a disappointing 2016/2017. They finished 14th in the Pro A standings after going 12-22. They failed to make the Pro A playoffs and struggled to stay consistent all year long. Change is in need for Antibes and this is a good start to rebuilding the roster. Sanford will contribute in all aspects of the game and should be a solid newcomer to the league.
