Verdell Jones signs with Oita Devils

Verdell Jones (195 cm, Indiana’12) has signed in Japan with BJ League team Oita Heat Devils. Jones started the season in Greece with Peristeri GS Athens, where he only played 6 games and left in November (averaging 2.3 ppg).

Verdell Jones graduated from college in May 2012 and reached the NCAA Sweet 16 with Indiana while averaging 7.5 ppg (down from 12.5 ppg in his junior year).

Oita Heat Devils are struggling this season and currently have a 9-17 record. The team was founded in 2007, the same years as the BJ League.
