Vander Blue waived by Maccabi Rishon

Vander Blue (2oo cm, Marquette’13) has been released by Israeli Winner League Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion after seven games. Blue signed with them in October 2013 after being released by the Philadelphia 76ers. Vander logged two DNPs after a change in the team’s coaching staff.

The talented youngster hits the free agent market, but will not likely remain unsigned for too long. In 2012-13, his senior year at Marquette, Blue averaged 14.8 ppg and 3.2 rpg. He was named to the All-Big East 2nd Team and the NABC Division I All-District 5 2nd Team in 2013.
