Two weeks after being waived by Crailsheim Merlins (Germany, BBL), Justin Tubbs (190 cm, East Tennessee State’11) has found a new position, joining the roster at the Halifax Rainmen in the Canadian NBL. The guard had played four games for the Merlins this season to averages of just 4.3 points and 1.0 board per game. The American will now kick-start his season in Halifax with the Canadian franchise.
He has featured in the NBL before, starting the 2013/2014 campaign for Ottawa SkyHawks, playing 39 games and averaging 17.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. He later moved to SPO Rouen Basket (France, ProB) and averaged 11.5 points and 3.3 rebounds from twelve appearances.
Tubbs has previously played in Israel and Georgia.
