Troy Bell leaves Sigma Barcellona

American point guard Troy Bell (186 cm, Boston’03) has been released by Sigma Barcellona (Italy, Lega 2) despite an impressive season so far. The 33-year old has played 15 times with Sigma since joining the team at the start of the campaign, and over those games he has averaged 15.6ppg, 5.2rpg, and 2.3apg. Known as a solid scorer, Troy Bell is an experienced player who has played around Europe and in his native USA.

During the 2003-2004 season Bell was purchased by the Memphis Grizzlies for $1,285,000. He would play 6 games with the team averaging 1.0ppg and 4.0rpg, although an injury scuppered his season and ultimately his NBA career.
