Trey Johnson gets deal from Kings

Trey Johnson

The Sacramento Kings have signed Trey Johnson (196 cm, Jackson State’07) to a one-season, non-guaranteed deal this 2014-15. Johnson is an American player who also holds a Qatari passport. He played for the Qatari national team in 2012. It is not common for a player to make his way back to the NBA after playing overseas. Johnson played 11 games for the then New Orleans Hornets in 2011-12.

In 2013-14 Trey signed with Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion (Israel-Winner League), but came onboard in March 2014. He was able to play seven games for the Israeli club and averaged 12.7 ppg and 3.3 apg.
