Tony Woods opts for Apoel Nicosia

Tony Woods (211 cm, Oregon’13) has linked with Cytavision Apoel Nicosia in the Cypriot Division A with a view to spending the rest of the season with the club. The American has already made his debut with the club and hit nine points while pulling eight rebounds off the glass. Earlier in the campaign the center was on the roster at CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu (Romania, Liga Nationala), but later moved to Panionios Athens.

With the Greek A1 club, Tony Woods played seventeen games and put together averages of 7.1 points and 4.9 boards per appearance.

In previous seasons Woods has played in Oregon in the NCAA and turned professional, his first club being AE Nea Kifisia Athens in the Greek A1.
