Tommy Lee Smith to Al Shamal

Al Shamal of the Qatari Division 1 has landed Tommy Lee Smith (207 cm, Arizona State´03) to play with the team this season. The American spent the summer in the Dominican Republic playing for Leones de Santo Domingo (LNB). Last season the power forward/center played in the American D-League where he hit the court with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Over 31 games he averaged 6.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

During the 2011/2012 season Tommy Lee Smith played for the Dakota Wizards in the D-League and picked up averages of 7.6 points and 5.0 rebound per game from forty appearances. Smith has previously played in China, Syria, Germany, and Croatia.
