Thomas Kennedy pens with Gunma

Thomas Kennedy (201 cm, Detroit Mercy’10) is a new addition to the roster of the Gunma Crane Thunders (Japan-BJ League) this season. He has played majority of his pro career in Japan. In 2014/15 Kennedy played for Niigata Albirex (Japan-BJ League) and averaged 17.8 ppg and 6.3 rpg through 56 games. He joined the team in February 2014 and was able to finish off the 2013/14 as a member of their roster. Thomas played 26 games for them and averaged 16.9 ppg and 5.5 rpg. It was his third team for the season. He started with Shimane Susanoo Magic (Japan-BJ League), where he played 10 games and averaged 17.1 ppg and 7.5 rpg. Kennedy later moved to the Chiba Jets in November 2013 and there he averaged 14.1 ppg and 5.2 rpg in 13 games.
