Tariq Kirksay joins FIATC Joventut

French-American veteran player Tariq Kirksay (199 cm, Iona’00) will join Spanish Liga Endesa team FIATC Joventut Badalona this 2013-14 season. Kirksay is an American-born player who received French citizenship in 2006. Tariq just finished a four-game run with the Bucaneros de la Guaira (Venezuela-LPB) in June 2013, where he posted averages of 12.8 ppg and 6.8 rpg.

Kirksay played for Asefa Estudiantes Madrid (Spain-ACB) before heading to South America. He logged 33 games for Asefa Estudiantes and averaged 9.5 ppg and 5.5 rpg. He brought a solid defensive game, leading the league in steals with 1.7 steals per game.
