Sundiata Gaines (185 cm, Georgia’08) will now be playing for Ironi Nes-Ziona (Israel-Winner League) this 2016. Gaines had originally agreed to terms with Openjobmetis Varese (Italy-Serie A), but it looks like he will be taking his game to Israel instead.The former NBA guard is coming over from the United States where he played for the Reno Bighorns (D-League). He played four games for the Bighorns before his departure and was effective with solid averages of 20.0 ppg, 4.0 rpg, and 4.0 apg.

Gaines is no stranger to the Italian Serie A. In 2014-15 he did a stint with Sidigas Avellino (Italy-Serie A). In 29 games he posted averages of 11.3 ppg and 2.4 apg.
