Steven Burtt back to Ukraine

Steven Burtt (189 cm, G) has signed with the Ukrainian team Budivelnyk Kyiv.

Although Burtt has not played in Ukraine since the 2011-12 season, you can still talk about a “comeback” because Ukraine is where his career got a real boost. This was not only because of his impressive statistics in both the Ukrainian Superleague and the VTB league but also because he received a Ukrainian passport. He counted as a domestic player in some leagues with that passport in hand, which improved his market value.

Although 36 years old, Steven Burtt shows no sign of slowing down. Last season he played in the Greek A2 and Argentina, and in 2018-2019, he still averaged 19 ppg in the Greek A1 and was the second-leading scorer of the league.

Burtt has always been able to score and has played professionally in 15 countries spread out over four continents.
