Soana Lucet andCastors Braine agree to Contract Extension

Soana Lucet will continue playing for Castors Braine for at least one more season after they signed a contract extension this week. Lucet joined the club in January and immediately became their key player. For 16 games in the league the forward averaged 17.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.6 assists. She was the fifth scorer and fourth rebounder of the competition.
Lucet started last season in France. She had 2.3 ppg and 1.4 rpg for 8 games with Arras Pays d’Artois Basket Feminin. It was her first season as a pro. The forward is a product of the University of Arizona, where she had 12.9 ppg and 5.5 rpg in 2010/11 season. She played for the New Caledonian National Team in 2006.
