Shevon Thompson signs in Spain instead of Germany

Shevon Thompson (213 cm, C) will play in the Spanish ACB Liga Endesa instead of the German Bundesliga (BBL). He signed today with the Spanish team Montakit Fuenlabrada. Initially, Shevon Thompson was supposed to be on the roster of ALBA Berlin, but they tryout there didn’t work out, so he moved to Spain instead. Jamaican-born Thompson went to college in the US and played there for George Mason, where he averaged 9.8 ppg and 10.7 rpg in his senior year. He then tried to make an NBA roster by playing in the G League and NBA summer leagues but decided in 2018 that his chances were slim, so he took his talents overseas. He played in Lebanon, Turkey, and last season in Belgium, where he averaged 12.1 ppg and 7.6 rpg for Filou Oostende.
