Shelden Williams signs with TianJin Steel

Former NBA forward Shelden Williams (206 cm, Duke’06) will continue his career in China’s CBA this 2013-14 season after signing with TianJin Steel. Williams was drafted fifth overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2006 NBA draft. Shelden spent the 2012-13 season playing in France’s ProA for ES Chalon-Sur-Saone. In 35 games he averaged 13.3 ppg and 7.5 rpg. He also helped his team reach the French ProA semifinals in 2013. Chalon competed in 10 games in the Euroleague that season before getting eliminated and in those games Shelden was able to average 11.3 ppg and 7.6 rpg.
