Shelden Williams stays with Tianjin Steel

Shelden Williams (206 cm, Duke’06) is set to remain with the Tianjin Steel (China-CBA) this 2014-15 season after re-signing with the club. The former NBA forward had a solid 2013-14 season with the Chinese club averaging an impressive double-double with 22.0 ppg and 11.9 rpg. Williams  made an effective impact on the defensive end for his team with averages of 1.9 bpg and 1.4 spg.

Shelden spent the 2012-13 season playing in France’s ProA for ES Chalon-Sur-Saone. In 35 games he averaged 13.3 ppg and 7.5 rpg. He also helped his team reach the French ProA semifinals in 2013. Chalon competed in 10 games in the Euroleague that season before getting eliminated and in those games Shelden was able to average 11.3 ppg and 7.6 rpg.
