Sean Williams to play in Turkey

Former NBA big man Sean Williams (208 cm, Boston College’07) is headed to Turkey this 2013-14 season to play for new TBL team Torku Selcuk Universitesi Konya. Williams was drafted by the New Jersey Nets in the first round, 17th overall, in the 2007 NBA Draft.

Williams began the 2012-13 season as a member of the Boston Celtics. During the pre-season he was traded to the Houston Rockets. Unfortunately, he was released by the team in August 2012. In December that year he signed with the D-League’s Frisco Texas Legends. In 30 games, Williams averaged 6.2 ppg, 5.3 rpg and 2.0 bpg.
