BC Kalev/Cramo Tallinn (Estonia-Alexela KML) will be getting a boost to their backcourt depth this season with the signing of Scott Machado (188 cm, Iona’12). The 24-year-old Machado is a Brazilian-American player who was a member of the Brazilian national team in 2013. In 2013-14 Machado was initially on the roster of the Utah Jazz, but did not get to register a game. In January 2014 he signed with the Santa Cruz Warriors (D-League) and averaged 8.6 ppg and 3.2 apg in 13 games. In March he moved to the Idaho Stampede and there he fared better with averages of 10.2 ppg and 6.0 apg. Finally, in April 2014 he opted to head to Europe, signing with ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (France-ProA). Machado logged six games for them and averaged 4.3 ppg and 4.0 apg.
