Sasa Obradovic inks with Alba Berlin

Alba Berlin (Germany, BBL) has announced that head coach Sasa Obradovic will fulfill his contract and will be at the helm for the 2013-2014 campaign. Alba manager Marco Baldi revealed the news and also said that he and Obradovic had already met to plan for next season. The Serbian guided Alba Berlin to 5th place in the German BBL this season but the club slipped to a 3-0 defeat in the quarter final play-off series against Bayern Munich.

It also proved a solid season in the Euroleague for both Berlin and Obradovic as the team progressed to the Top 16 stage of the competition. However, the highlight of the campaign came in March when Alba Berlin won the German Cup for the first time since 2009. Coach Sasa Obradovic has now been rewarded for a good season with a contract extension to continue his work for the next year.
