Saigon Heat finished their inaugural ASEAN League season on a high note. They toppled the Bangkok Cobras away from home to earn the 8th win. Jonathan Jones (211-C-79) fired 32 points and grabbed 16 boards to lead the effort. The Cobras stunned the visitors in the opening frame. They ensured a 22:9 lead after ten minutes. But the Heat gradually came back to life. They narrowed the deficit to 10 points at the interval. The visitors got within three points at the final intermission. Sanz finally put the Heat in front late in regulation and they hung on to escape with a narrow win at the end. Jahmar Thorpe (198-F-84, college: Houston) finished with 22 points in the victory. Travis George (206-PF-85) replied with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the Cobras. Marvin Cruz (173-G-84) netted 13 points in the loss.
