Ryan Nicholas goes pro with MBC

University of Portland grad Ryan Nicholas (201 cm, Portland’14) is set to begin his career as a professional international basketball player. He will kick off his rookie season by jumping into the highly competitive German Bundesliga. Nicholas has been added by Mitteldeutscher BC Weissenfels (MBC) for the 2014-15 season. MBC finished in the middle of the pack (9th) in the German BBL in 2013-14 and will be looking to improve on their 16-18 record this season.

The 22-year-old Nicholas averaged 13.0 ppg and 8.9 rpg in his senior year at Portland. The player has two inclusions in the WCC All-Academic Team (2012, 2013) as well as All-WCC Honorable mention in 2013 and 2014.
