The Guangdong Southern Tigers from China’s CBA have signed former NBA veteran Royal Ivey (193 cm, Texas’04) for the 2013-14 season. Ivey began this season on the roster of the Atlanta Hawks, but was released by the team in October 2013. He later signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder where he was able to log in a couple of games before making the move to China. Ivey only averaged two and a half minutes in those games and only had one rebound and no points to his name during his stay with OKC.
Ivey is now set to reinforce the backcourt of the Southern Tigers who are currently leading the CBA standings with an impressive 25-3 slate.
