Roman Grigorev (200 cm) has agreed terms with Omonia (Cyprus-Division A). The 24-year old Grigorev is a Russian player who moved with his family to the Netherlands and now also has a Dutch passport. Last season he played for Maxxcom BS Weert (Netherlands-Eredivisie) and averaged 13.5 ppg in 30 games. Roman Grigorev was developed in Russia’s U23 team Spartak Vladivostok. From there, he got upgraded and eventually landed with BC Sojuz Zaretchny from Russia’s Superleague in 2010/2011. Playing for Vladivostok in 2012/2013 he notched averages that showed some promise and potential. The youngster posted 14.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg in roughly 26 minutes per game for Vladivostok.
