Azad University Tehran (Iran-Superleague) is reinforcing its roster this 2017 with the addition of Rolandas Alijevas (192 cm). He is a 32-year-old Lithuanian player who also holds a Swiss passport. This will be his first signing of the 2016-17 season. In 2015-16, Rolandas lent his talents to Juventus-LKSK Utenos from his home Lithuania’s LKL. He played 14 games for them in the FIBA Europe Cup, where Alijevas was able to secure averages of 7.9 ppg and 5.1 apg. The experienced guard also appeared in a total of 32 games in the domestic Lithuanian league, and there he was able to record averages of 9.0 ppg and 6.0 apg.
