Robert Spon named head coach of Halifax Rainmen

The Halifax Rainmen have found a new head coach with Robert Spon. Spon is a well-traveled coach at many levels, including the last two seasons with the Quebec Kebs.

“We are extremely excited to hire coach Spon,” said Halifax Rainmen President and CEO. “Over Spon’s career his teams are always prepared, and compete for the championship. He stresses defense, and manages his teams very well. I believe he was the best coach in North America without a job. He will lead our club now and in the future.”

Robert Spon is expected to join the team Monday November 19th. The Halifax Rainmen game on November 17th will be coached by interim Colter Simmonds. As of Monday November 19 Simmonds will resume his position as assistant coach with the Halifax Rainmen.
