Real Madrid claims record-breaking 13th straight EuroLeague win

Real Madrid defeated Zalgiris Kaunas at the Wizink Center (88-82) and extended its winning streak in the EuroLeague to 13 games.

It’s a new record in the latest EuroLeague format and also a repeat of Real Madrid’s record of 13 straight wins from the 2013-14 season.

The “Whites” claimed their 15th win in the EuroLeague and are at 15-3.

On the hand, the Lithuanians failed to earn their third straight win in the EuroLeague and dropped to 5-13.

Armani Milano star Sergio Rodriguez led his team to a crucial victory over Panathinaikos at home (96-87).

The Spanish guard finished the game with 22 points (9/16 shooting) and helped the Italians emerge victorious for the third time in the last four matches in the EuroLeague.

Both teams have identical records (10-8) and are fighting for a place in the postseason.

Maccabi Tel-Aviv center Jalen Reynolds helped his team defeat ALBA Berlin (89-95) and snap a two-game losing streak in the EuroLeague.

Reynolds finished the game with 17 points and six rebounds. The Israelis put an end to their two-game losing streak in the EuroLeague and now have a 12-6 record.

This was the 100th career win in the EuroLeague for head coach Giannis Sfairopoulos.

After leading Olympiacos to two EuroLeague Championship Games (2015,2017) , the Greek coach took over Maccabi in an effort to bring the club back to the top.

Thanks to coach Sfairopoulos tactics and coaching skills, the Israeli powerhouse has been one of the favourites for a top four finish.

The Greek coach recently signed a contract extension with the team; his target now is to lead Maccabi to the EuroLeague Final Four after many years.

For their part, ALBA dropped to 5-13.

Derrick Williams took over against Baskonia and led Fenerbahce to its second straight victory in the EuroLeague (65-79).

Williams posted 16 points (5/7 shooting), five rebounds, three assists and a PIR of 24. For their part, the Basques lost for the fourth time in the last five matches in the competition.

Both teams now have identical records (7-11).
