Raymond Sykes heads to Venezuela

Raymond Sykes (206 cm, Clemson’09) is headed to South America, specifically Venezuela, to play for the Bucaneros de La Guaira. He comes from playing the 2012-13 season in Turkey for Bandirma Kirmzi (TB2L). In 34 games he managed averages of 17.4 ppg and 9.3 rpg.

The 26-year-old Sykes played for BG Goettingen from Germany’s ProA in the 2011-12 season, playing six games in the EuroChallenge, averaging 13.5 ppg and 6.3 rpg. He also played 27 games in the German league for Goettingen and there averaged 10.8 ppg and 5.8 rpg. He later moved to the Dominican Republic to play for San Carlos.
