Quinton Ross signs short-term deal with Boulazac

Quinton RossQuinton Ross (198 cm, Southern Methodist University’03) has been signed by Boulazac Basket Dordogne (France-ProA) to a short-term contract to replace the injured Amadi McKenzie (201 cm, Tennessee Tech’08). Last season Ross suited up for the Canton Charge (US-NBA D-League) where he saw court time in 10 games and averaged 7.7 points per game. Ross played four years of collegiate ball at Southern Methodist University, where he finished with a career scoring average of 14.8ppg, including 17.4ppg as a junior and 20.3ppg as a senior. He went undrafted out of college, but was signed by the Los Angeles Clippers as a free agent. He was waived before the season started and was picked up by Telindus BC Oostende (Belgium-D1) where he averaged 14.6ppg in 11 Eurocup contests and 16.7ppg in 31 Belgian D1 games. The Clippers resigned him for the 2004-05 season and he spent four seasons with them, then was traded to the Memphis Grizzles. He’s also suited up for the Washington Wizards and the New Jersey Nets. During his NBA career he averaged 4.1 points per game, with his best season being 2006-07 (5.2ppg). Ross played for the Clippers
