Petravicius decides to retire due to health issues

Marijonas Petravicius has decided to retire from basketball due to a serious health issue. During last year’s Eurobasket, Petravicius was diagnosed with pulmonary microsembolism and he was hoping to make a comeback but his doctors thought otherwise. “Doctors didn’t want me to play anymore because it would put my future health at risk.” Petravicius stated, “If I played again, there could be serious complications. Petravicius has been signed and released by two teams in the last year due to the health issues. He’s also a member of the Lithuanian National Team and was a member of the Lithuanian team that played in the 2008 Olympics in Bejing.
