Petar Popovic inks with Petkim

Petar Popovic (211 cm) has left Artland Dragons Quakenbrueck (Germany, BBL) and will now join Aliaga Petkim (Turkey, TBL) for the 2013/2014 season. The center was a part of the Artland Dragons team that reached the semi-finals of the Bundesliga Cup and also the quarter finals of the BBL play-offs this season. Over 35 games with the German outfit he logged averages of 8.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. The 34-year old Serbian played last season in his homeland with Crvena Zvezda Beograd (Serbia, A) where he played 25 Adriatic League games and averaged 11.2ppg and 5.3rpg. Petar Popovic will now head to Turkey for the first time in his career.
