Patrick Ewing Jr released by Telekom

Patrick Ewing, Jr.Patrick Ewing Jr. (203 cm, Georgetown’08) has been released by Telekom Baskets Bonn (Germany-BBL) according to Eurobasket.com. Ewing held an 11.5 point per game average over 12 BBL contests and 7.8 points per game in six EuroChallenge games. Last season he opened the year with the New Orleans Hornets, but was released before the schedule opened. He moved to the Sioux Falls Skyforce (US-D-League) and played 11 games, contributing 10.1 points per game, then moved to the Iowa Energy (US-D-League), where he dropped in 8.3 points and grabbed 4.4 rebounds per game over 19 games. In 2010 he was signed by the senior Patrick Ewing’s old team, the New York Knicks, but was released before the season began. The Reno Bighorns of the D-League picked him up and he suited for 25 games, averaging 15.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. He was traded to the Sioux Falls Skyforce where he contributed 19.9 points and 10.6 rebounds per game (second place in the D-League) over 23 games. He was then signed by the New Orleans Hornets on a 10-day contract and was then signed for the rest of the season, where he got in seven regular-season games and two playoff games.
