Patrick Ewing Jr. (203 cm, Georgetown ’08), son of legendary Patrick Ewing, Sr., has signed on to finish the 2012-13 season with Blancols de Rueda Valladolid (Spain-ACB). Ewing was released by Telekom Baskets Bonn (Germany-BBL) recently, having played 18 games with the club; six in the EuroChallenge, where he averaged 7.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, and 12 in the German BBL, where he tallied 11.5 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. In 2011-12 he was signed by the New Orleans Hornets, but was released prior to the season starting. Ewing then spent the season in the NBA’s D-League, first with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, scoring 10.1 points and grabbing 4.3 rebounds per game over 11 games; then with the Iowa Energy, seeing the floor in 19 contests and contributing 8.3 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
