Panathinaikos adds playmayer Dimitra Kalentzou

Panathinaikos continues strong in the summer player market and it’s last edition (so far), seems to be, the best of all. The “greens” announced the transfer of the very experienced Greek point guard Dimitra Kalentzou.

Kalentzou, who is international with the Greek national women’s team, was a basic “piece” of Athinaikos dynasty, the last five years in Greek and European basketball

She returns to Panathinaikos after 10 years, as Panathinaikos was her first team, in her great professional basketball career. She first signed with Panathinaikos in 1997, when she was 19 years old. With the team, Kalentzou won 2 Greek championships, in 1998 and 2000 and a Greek cup in 2000.

With the addition of Kalentzou, Panathinaikos instantly becomes a big contestant for the Greek championship.
